Our new friend who lives in our bathroom. Actually now he's dead and his corpse is a perfect halloween decoration.

Okay, it's been a crazy week!
It was stake conference, which normally wouldn't be a problem but we had to try to drag all the members and investigators to a chapel that would be able to receive the transmission of the conference an hour ad a half away. No one wanted to go.

So the whole week we were trying to figure out if we could rent a bus or something, or figure out the internet in the casa de oracion so we could watch the conference here in Ixtapan. But didn't end up getting a solution in time.
Betty's Birthday |
Oh but on Friday was Betty´s birthday!!! SO great, we bought her a cake and a little sweater and had a little fiesta for her. Since she wasn't able to spend her birthday with her family in Guerrero. but it was so sweet, she told us that it was fine because she got to spend it with her other sisters, ah I love her so much.
Then sunday.
I learned two important lessons.
1. Every baptism is really a miracle.
2. I know that I am nothing, it's all the Lord.
ah so we put the fecha segura for Betty and possibly for Bryan as well (the other joven of 21 years that we are teaching)
We got up sunday morning, and I was feeling pretty nervous. then we got a text from Betty saying that her grandma didn't feel good and she wasn't going to be able to go to the conference with us. I was just like nooooo you have to be kidding me. I called her and told her that we were going to go over and help her take care of her grandma (and convince her to go with us to Tenancingo hah).
but I just got on my knees and started praying.
We got to her house and took care of her grandma, got some medicine and talked with Betty a bunch. she was super worried for her abuelita but decided to go.
YES.
Went to the conference with her and Bryan,
Got everything ready for the baptism, and even though we had to run around looking for a pool to baptize her in, everything worked out fine. It was sweet, she was really happy. My prayers were answered, and then more because later that night, Bryan told us that he decided he wanted to be baptized that day. Total surprise, my companion and I couldn't believe it!
So we ended up having two baptismal services, and I'm so so excited for both of them. <3
I'm so grateful for the chance I have to be a part of the Lord´s work.
that was the highlight of the week!
